Prior to Accession, this engine was listed under MiscOtbd 20.The Caille Brothers (Adolf and Arthur) began production of one and two cylinder direct-drive outboard engines in 1913. The brother's company prospered until 1933, when they sold out to a large holding company called Fuller Johnson. Production of Caille outboards ceased at the end of 1935, a victim of the Depression.This engine was advertised as a "Sensational performer in weedy or shallow water, and merely touching a hidden obstruction causes it to rise and pass over." Selling price was $85.00. Weight was 72 lbs.
