Remarks: Maker also known as ELCO WORKS of the Electric Boat Co. Engine is of the "F" Head configuration,with intake valves in the head and exhaust valves in the block. Engine has two spark plugs per cylinder. LOA is about 6' 6", weight about one ton. Engine is complete except for the magneto. Engine was fresh water cooled. Engines 1994.9.1 and 1994.9.2 are similar and from the same boat, port and stbd positions, respectively. Donor thought that this engine and 1994.9.2 were the only two in existance, but this is unsubstantiated.
