Remarks: Engine restored before coming to MSM. Cylinder painted green. Engine includes a cross head drive wet air pump. Part of the "Webster Collection". This engine is one of six steam engines in the "Webster Collection" under Accession Numbers 1993.106.16 through 1993.106.21. Inaddition to these engines, this collection includes a multitude of steam engine associated parts and accessories, some of which were assigned Accession Numbers in the 1993.106 series. (See the file under Accession Number 1993.106.16 for a full listing of items in this collection.) Several items in this collection are said to have been taken from the vessel SWALLOW. The relationship between the engines in this collection and the SWALLOW is unknown.
