Remarks: One cylinder, two cycle, two port, make-and-break ignition, Schebler carburetor, free 9/25/72 per David Dodge. 1988 review noted engine had no intake or exhaust system. On 4/5/07 noted the following items missing from the engine: one primer cup, two grease cups and one drain cock. Our 1907 Palmer Brothers Catalog describes the single cylinder Palmer Model D as having a 5" bore and a 6" stroke, generating 5 HP at 400 RPM, swinging an 18" dia. flywheel and a 20" dia. propeller, weighing 425 lbs. ,measuring 18" from center of shaft to top of motor, and 25" from front of fly wheel to end of coupling and costing (1907) $125.00. Model D engines were carried in the Palmer catalog for the years 1900-1924. The original carburetor on this engine was a Monarch, which was replaced by this Schebler for display purposes.
