Remarks: Original information on this engine stated that it was missing a flywheel, carburetor and half-time arm, Visual inspection on 03/05/04 showed engine actually had a flywheel and carburetor, but was missing the igniter push rod. There is some question as to whether the original information was taken from a different engine, or if that original engine subsequently had a flywheel and carburetor added. Since no serial number was originally recorded, neither case can be proven. Engine rated speed is 425 RPM. Engine has make and break ignition. Exaust manifold missing. Engine cylinder appears frozen. Engine had been salt water cooled. Rust noted in water jacket, but water jacket filled with anti-freeze. Required maintenance: Lubricate moving parts and maintain anti-freeze in cooling water passages.
