History of Providence & Stonington Steamship Company

The Stonington Steamship Company was organized in 1867 by the Stonington Railroad Company and others to operate between New York City and Stonington, Connecticut. It was consolidated into the Providence & Stonington Steamship Company in 1875 and terminated operations in 1896.
