Freight Circulars were printed at large ports by agents or brokers, most often on a weekly basis. They provided the latest informationon current prices, and t he availabitlity of enumerated goods at taht port. These Circulars were mailed out to shippers or potential clients, in order to keep them updated on market conditions. They were also known in some places as "price-current" sheets or "market reviews"
