History:Launched as SCOTIAN for Furness, Withy, but purchased by Hamburg-American before completion and renamed PRESIDENT LINCOLN. Seized by US in 1917, converted to transport. Torpedoed and sunk May 31, 1918, while bound from France to NY; 26 lives lost.
