History:Launched as BISMARCK for Hamburg-American Line. Handed over to British government 1919. Bought jointly by Cunard and White Star. Completed Mar. 1922 at Hamburg. Maiden voyage May 1922 as MAJESTIC. In 1934 became part of amalgamated Cunard-White Star Line.
