Named in memory of/ Admiral George Dewey,/ who defeated the Spanish fleet at the/ Battle of Manila Bay./ COMPILED BY JOHN H. HAAG"; stamp on right depicts Warren G. Harding in profile, printed on stamp "UNITED STATES POSTAGE/ HARDING/ 1-1/2 CENTS 1-1/2"; stamp postmarked "U.S.S./ 4/ OCT/ 1935/ A.M./ DEWEY" and "FIRST/ ANNIVERSARY"; address on front "Mr. Lloyd A. Nace./ 3611 Hamilton Ave./ Detroit, Michigan."; address stamped on back "THEO. HARRINGTON/ 2057 SO. 29TH ST./ MILWAUKEE, WIS."; stamped on back "0280". The U.S.S.
