Description: Tobacco card, Lighthouse series by American Tobacco Co. for Hassan Cigarettes (T77); Minots Ledge Light, number 31 in the series; color drawing on front depicting Minots Ledge Light and background scenery; surrounded by thin black frame line and white border; printed on front "MINOTS LEDGE LIGHT"; printed on back "LIGHT HOUSE SERIES 1 TO 50/ MINOT'S LEDGE LIGHT./ On the outer Minot, Mass., one of/ the Cohasset Rocks, Massachusetts/ Bay. Has flashing white oil signaling/ '143' every 40 seconds. Is 84-1/2 feet/ above mean high water and is visible/ 17 miles. Established in 1850 and/ rebuilt in 1860. The backs contain information abou the lighthouse, the sound of its signal and the year it was established.
