The following transcription is from Richard Langford Collection AV 193:2002-5,6: [TCR 01:30:15]: “And here we’re cleaning and painting, as you can see. We’ve even put a plank out to the bowsprit so we could work on that figurehead that Ernest Gann had put on there when they made Twilight for[sic] the Gods, one of his novels, into a movie with Rock Hudson and Cyd Charisse. See, we’re red leading all the way up here [to top of mast]. We’ll be cleaning up ship now [Nelson’s Dockyard, Antigua].” |
