Jr. Place: Date: 1990 Materials: Description: Rigged model of clipper ship DAVID CROCKETT. Model built by William Quincy in 1990. Built at Mystic, Connecticut, in 1853, the 215-foot DAVID CROCKETT was a fast and successful clipper ship. The ship traveled west, making 25 voyages from New York to San Francisco between 1857 and 1883.
