The image copied by the Rosenfelds is a head view of the American naval architect Edward Burgess (1851-1891) of Boston, Massachusetts who designed, among many other craft, the America's Cup defenders PURITAN (1885), MAYFLOWER (1886), and VOLUNTEER (1887). John A. Lowell Company of Boston, Massachusetts was the original printer and publisher of the image. Stamped neg. sleeve info.: "158849F / [Box] 5635". Handwritten: "Ed. Burgess / Pg 112".
