Description: 5x4 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons during the time of the New York Yacht Club Cruise in 1951. Image of two of the participants in the race, BOLERO, in the foreground, and BARUNA, in the background to the right, both showing a starboard beam view with spinnakers set. BOLERO was a 73'4" famous racing auxiliary yawl, sail #134, built in 1949 by Henry B. Nevins, Inc. of City Island, New York and designed by the firm of Sparkman & Stephens. BARUNA was a 72' yawl, sail #98, built in 1938 by the Quincy Adams Yacht Yard of Quincy, Massachusetts and designed by Sparkman & Stephens in 1937.
