Title: Arrow motor for yacht tender, Model K1 Accession Number: 1974.93 Category: ENGINES Type: inboard gasoline engine Maker: Arrow Motor and Machine Co.; Bryant & Berry Place: USA, NJ, Newark Date: Circa 1908 Materials: Description: Inboard gasoline engine, 1 cylinder, 2 cycle, 2 HP; made by Arrow Motor and Machine Co., Newark, New Jersey, ca. 1908; model number K-1, serial number 11789; originally owned by Carl Sharp of New Rochelle, NY, who was to install it in a twelve foot yacht tender, engine probably never used; shaft stamped "BRYANT & BERRY/ DETROIT, MICH." Given in the names of Carl Sharp and W. Hampton de Fontaine. Circular brass plate on copper cylinder reads "ARROW MOTOR & MACH. CO./ NEW YORK, N.Y./ U.S.A./ FACTORY/ NEWARK, N.Y./ NO 11789/ MODEL K1/ H.P.2".
