Parsons; side wheel (iron) steamer PILGRIM (bu. 1882, John Roach & Son, Chester, PA; owner, Old Colony Steamboat Co.) signed by C.R. Parsons. Union Jack flies from bow; American flag at stern; flag near stacks says "Fall River Line for Boston via Newport & Fall River". Sailboat in foreground, several boats on Horizon. Given in memory of Valdemar T. Hammer. Artist did many of the original pictures for the N. Currier ship Lithographs.
