Description: Cutter GALENA, built in 1913 by James E. Graves in Marblehead, MA. Vessel was previously named FOX and COCKLE. Designed by James Purdon, GALENA is transom sterned, round bottomed, and constructed of wood. She was used as a yacht. She is 18'9" long and 6'5" wide. Her hull was restored in Noank, CT in 1969. She has a cream colored deck, white rail, red boot top, black topsides with a bronze bottom and varnished trim. She has three headsails, a sailbag, and a cover.
